The show was incredible. I've been watching the band live since early '96 and this is one of the best performances since those early days. I don't remember hearing "Headup" at the end though. Thanks for another great show...can't wait 'til next time!!

it was an amazing concert. I've watched tons of their live videos on youtube, but none of them compared to how they sounded at the show last night

To Deftones:
I'd like to start by saying your music is one of the single most important things in my life, it always has been but I adore it more than ever and you guys have always been one of my absolute favorite bands of all time. You'll never know how much your music has changed my life and how much it does for me on a daily basis, so THANK YOU. Thank you for being you and being so sincere and so passionate. And for being so punk and not even playing punk rock!

That said, I'm attending the Gibson Ampitheatre show on the twenty-eighth (fuck yes!) and I would be honored if you could play just a couple of my favorite songs. I'm dying to hear "Kimdracula" live, also "Combat" and "Rats! Rats! Rats!". There is no possible fucking way to choose just a few favorite Deftones songs so this "dream set" was really hard to compile. I had to stop because there's already too many songs there, but I feel like I just HAVE to hear:

ELITE (for sure :))
KIMDRACULA (PLEASE PLEASE!)
KNIFE PARTY
R!R!R!
KOREA
BIRTHMARK
WHEN GIRLS TELEPHONE BOYS
CHANGE(ITHOF)
RX QUEEN
CHERRY WAVES
MX
BQAD(FA)
FEITICEIRA!!!

DIGITAL BATH
COMBAT
BLOODY CAPE

MINERVA
STREET CARP
MY OWN SUMMER(Shove It)

(in no particular order, haha)

I don't know if you guys read this shit, but I LOVE YOU. I'll be satisfied no matter what you play, because it's Deftones and every song is a fucking gem. Thanks guys, SEE YOU IN LA!

I thought the set list was terrible.

Not one song off of the Deftones' self-titled album. Don't know why, it's the best one.

Not one cover.

They didn't even play "Mein", the current song in rotation. WTF? What's the point of releasing it? The radio stations in town don't play your music.

Don't ask the fans to give their opinions of the setlist on Myspace and then play not a single song (I) wanted to hear.

Would pay $200 to see the 2nd Washington D.C. show but wouldn't pay $5 to see this one again.

Oh yeah, there were queers everywhere.

I really enjoyed the show in Grand Rapids, MI last night, it was amazing- and I just wanted to say thank you for playing in such a small venue as the Orbit room, it means a lot that I can come see you guys without driving all the way to Detroit or Chicago- although I would if i had to :) Thanks again, rock on.

the show last night was fucking amazing, the set list was the standard for the tour, nothing really special, but it was a nice mix of everything...very balanced, the energy from the band and the crowd made it everything it needed to be...thank you so much for coming back here

and shut the fuck up ol dirty dick dawson, the s/t is not there best cd, in fact, its the worst, still a good cd cuz its deftones...seriously, youre a fucking idiot

queers everywhere? that floor was fucking sick, im sure were one of the most insane crowds theyll see all tour, there was about a row of people 4 feet back from the guard rail then nothing but complete insanity all the way the back, the floor was 90% pit...i guarantee your ass wasnt walking around last night calling people queers, thats for fucking sure

It was a good show, but I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't my least favorite Deftones show that I've seen thus far (and I was at Summer Sanitarium for Christ's sake), and I've seen them 5 times.

Like an earlier person said, the setlist was awful (I know that's harsh, but seriously, it wasn't good). It was cool that they played 4 songs from ATF, but in a row? No songs from the S/T whatsoever (Deathblow or Anniversary would've been amazing rather than Xerces). They played Back to School (terrible) rather than just playing Pink Maggit. And even though SNW is still pretty new, they really should've chosen different/stronger songs to play from it. Beware was excellent, but I really would've loved to hear Rapture or Kimdracula instead of Rats and Xerces. Just little things.

Some of the other setlists that I looked at from this tour were amazing, and it just seems like GR really got the shaft. I've always thought that the Deftones were one of the best at taking something from every one of their albums and coming up with an amazing mix of songs that really keep the night going. But they really fell flat on this night.

And this is minimal, but why didn't Chino come out into the crowd like he always does?
